Local Interagency Coordinating Councils
(LICCs)

Connecticuts Local ICCs are independent regional partnerships of families of young children who may have delays or disabilities or health-related concerns, and members of local community groups. This includes early intervention providers, child care providers, the medical community, local public school systems, regional offices of state agencies, and other groups who support families of young children.

These partnerships work to:

  • put families first
  • promote communication and collaboration
  • share ideas and solutions in their communities
  • Advise the systems that support children and their families from birth through age five

LICCs are established in:

  • Danbury
  • Greater Hartford
  • Lower Fairfield
  • Meriden
  • Middlesex County
  • Torrington
  • Waterbury

Local ICCs are established and defined by Connecticut law 17a-248.
