August 17, 2017

The training employs the use of case-based learning as a means of applying knowledge to the types of families with whom learners are apt to work with professionally. Specific topics discussed include: (1) understanding the intersection of community and family violence with trauma and intervention, (2) cultural responsiveness for children exposed to family violence, (3) how persistent fear and anxiety can effect children’s behavior and health, and (4) trauma informed, prevention based services for children in a school based setting.
