Please join the Office of Early Childhood, Behavioral Health Initiatives’ upcoming webinar: “Women in History Educating Young Children: Reflections from the Past, Shining Light in the Present, Enlightening Forward Movement”.
This webinar will focus on women in history and the valuable role they’ve played supporting and educating young children. Our goal is to highlight how women have played an instrumental role in uplifting early care and education while preserving the workforce at large. This especially holds true for women of color who’ve been the backbone for the workforce for centuries. We hope this webinar highlights the grit, determination, and resilience women display in raising and educating our youth, an investment producing benefits beyond measure.
The session will include:
- Opening Keynote Speaker: Elsa Jones, Child Development Specialist and Advocate
- Engaging Panel Discussion facilitated by Artie Hill, Education Program Manager at Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame

Este seminario web se centrará en las mujeres en la historia y el valioso papel que han desempeñado al apoyar y educar a niños pequeños. Nuestro objetivo es destacar cómo las mujeres han desempeñado un papel fundamental en elevar la atención y educación tempranas mientras se preserva la fuerza laboral en general. Esto aplica especialmente a mujeres de color que han sido la columna vertebral para la fuerza laboral durante siglos. Esperamos que este seminario web destaque el coraje, la determinación y resiliencia que tienen las mujeres para elevar y educar a nuestros jóvenes, una inversión que genera beneficios ilimitados.
