Required Training and Service Coordination Training

As recommended by the ICC, Service Coordination Training will be one component in a system of training that will be required of Birth to Three personnel, as follows:

Birth to Three Certificate – online modules and an exam that must be completed within 90 days of the first day of work for all new employees

Evaluator Certificate – only for those personnel QUALIFIED to perform evaluations and assessments per personnel standards.  Required for new employees.  Consists of 1 – 2 online modules and an exam.

Service Coordinator Certificate – for those who will be functioning in the role of Service Coordinator.  Requires completion of Birth to Three Certificate prior to beginning Service Coordination training.  Includes online modules, required observations in program, passing service coordination online exam, and a one day in-person training.

 

One day in-person Service Coordination Training (requires prior completion of Birth to Three Certificate, Service Coordination modules, exam, and observations):

  • September 11, 2018    9AM – 4 PM   Wethersfield Police Department, Community Room, 250 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, CT. 06109

Modules are currently under development and will be available by early August 2018.  We anticipate scheduling the one day in-person training every other month: September 2018 , November 2018, January 2019, March 2019, May 2019, July 2019 as long as attendance is sufficient.
