State Performance Plans
Section 616 of the IDEA requires that each state submit a six-year State Performance Plan or SPP. The SPP must be developed and modified with broad stakeholder input and approved by the US Dept. of Education Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). Progress on the SPP is reported in the state’s Annual Performance Reports or APR. They have the last three posted here.
This is a link to the State’s current SPP/APR that was submitted to OSEP on January 29, 2015. It includes the State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP) that was submitted on April 1, 2015. This 99 page report includes targets for eleven indicators through June 2018. The format is completely different from years past. Starting with the plan due February 2, 2015, the SPP is submitted using an online tool. The tool that produces this report was not working as of April 1, 2015 when this report was finalized so the page numbers change after Indicator 10. If you have any questions or comments please email Alice.Ridgway@ct.gov.
These are the plans using the old-format.
