The SSIP process includes the active participation from stakeholders including members of the Birth to Three Interagency Coordinating Council (ICC),  CT Birth to Three program directors, the director of Child Development Infoline, and representatives from Connecticut Parent Advocacy Center.  Input is also gathered from lead agency staff, regional provider meetings, the data system users group, and other staff from the Office of Early Childhood.

The State-identified Measurable Result that stakeholders selected is that:

Parents of children who have a diagnosed condition will be able to describe their child’s abilities and challenges more effectively as a result of their participation in Early Intervention.

Published collaboratively by the Center for IDEA Early Childhood Data Systems (DaSy); the Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (ECTA); the Desired Results Access Project, Napa County Office of Education, funded by the California Department of Education, Special Education Division; and collaborating partners. There were three phases to developing the SSIP; I) Analysis, II) Plan, and III) Implementation and Evaluation. For more information about Phase I and II scroll down.

Broad stakeholder meetings are part of and follow State ICC meetings but each implementation team leader seeks input from a wide variety of other key stakeholders, particularly parents and providers.

NOTE: The SSIP is the 11th Indicator in the State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report (SPP/APR) and there are many references to the SPP/APR in it.  You may prefer to read the SSIP Indicator as part of the entire SPP/APR.   (See link above or choose How Are We Doing from the menu to the left and then clicking the State Performance Plan.)
