The Federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is intended to support states and localities in protecting the rights of, meeting the individual needs of, and improving the results for infants, toddlers, children and youths (Ages 0-21) with disabilities and their families. Part C of the IDEA is the Program for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities. This is grant program that assists states in operating a comprehensive statewide program of early intervention services for infants and toddlers with disabilities, ages birth through age 2 years, and their families.
